An easy, popular appetizer for informal gatherings

Ingredients

  • 2 8 oz packages cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 4 1/2 oz can chopped green chiles

  • 1 tsp kosher salt

  • 1 4 1/4 oz can chopped black olives

  • 4 oz shredded cheddar pepper jack mix cheese

  • 2 T salsa

  • 1/2 cup green onion tops, sliced

  • 2 packages of burrito size flour tortillas

Directions

  • In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until creamy
  • Add the rest of the ingredients except for the tortillas, and beat at medium speed with an electric mixer
  • Spread the mixture evenly over the surface of each tortilla. Roll up the tortilla tightly and wrap in plastic wrap.
  • Refrigerate at least two hours or overnight. Unwrap and cut into slices. Serve immediately

Notes

  • If you like a little spice, add some chipotle powder to the cream cheese mixture. I served this at the Fourth of July when Chris and Liz came up to meet the family. Chris loved it, and asked Liz to get the recipe
