An easy, popular appetizer for informal gatherings
Ingredients
2 8 oz packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1 4 1/2 oz can chopped green chiles
1 tsp kosher salt
1 4 1/4 oz can chopped black olives
4 oz shredded cheddar pepper jack mix cheese
2 T salsa
1/2 cup green onion tops, sliced
2 packages of burrito size flour tortillas
Directions
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until creamy
- Add the rest of the ingredients except for the tortillas, and beat at medium speed with an electric mixer
- Spread the mixture evenly over the surface of each tortilla. Roll up the tortilla tightly and wrap in plastic wrap.
- Refrigerate at least two hours or overnight. Unwrap and cut into slices. Serve immediately
Notes
- If you like a little spice, add some chipotle powder to the cream cheese mixture. I served this at the Fourth of July when Chris and Liz came up to meet the family. Chris loved it, and asked Liz to get the recipe
