Banana Bread

kcalA moist and delicious banana bread. Serve with pimento cheese or softened butter
Ingredients
2 TBS butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
3 bananas, well ripened
2 cups flour
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp table salt
2 TBS buttermilk
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Cream together butter and sugar; mix in eggs and bananas
- Sift together dry ingredients, and stir into banana mixture
- Stir in buttermilk and pecans
- Pour into greased and floured loaf pan, and bake for 35-40 minutes
Notes
- 1 tsp of vinegar in 2 Tbs of milk will substitute for butter milk. The recipe doubled will make 3 small loaves
